DESCRIPTION:What are the key ingredients for polished and professional presentations? Whether you want to inspire\, inform or influence your audiences\, confident public speakers appear relaxed and have the ability to engage their audiences. Whether in groups that are large or small\, in front of friends or strangers or for business or pleasure\, becoming a confident public speaker will impact your level of professionalism. \nWhether you struggle to speak with confidence or you are looking to fine-tune your public speaking skills\, this session will help you enhance your presentation and public speaking skills. Our accomplished speaker\, Michelle Devlin\, will guide you through some fundamental skills and help you find the confidence you need to enhance and foster your public speaking & leadership skills\, all while connecting with like-minded businesswomen. \nAbout Michelle Devlin\, B. Comm. \nMichelle Devlin is an accomplished speaker and workshop leader passionate about helping others become successful leaders. Her 20 years of public speaking\, sales\, and marketing experience have helped her understand the nuances of client relationships and the role effective business communication plays in corporate success. Her true public speaking experience began in 1999 when her sales manager at the time suggested she join Toastmasters to become a more confident presenter. She was involved in Toastmasters from 1999-2012\, and in 2004 was awarded Division Governor of the year for her volunteer work with Toastmasters International. It was here that Michelle truly fostered her public speaking\, communication and leadership skills. \nIn 2002\, she started her own company focused on helping people become confident speakers. At the time\, she joined the Edmonton Chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) to learn how to run a successful professional speaking business. She firmly believes her affiliation and volunteer work with 2 organizations have helped pave the way to her success in the industry. \nToday\, through her work with Creating People Power\, Michelle delivers workshops that help organizations foster respectful workplaces and enhance communication skills among leaders.
