BPW Edmonton presents the third event in our “Leadership in Action” series on March 17th, 2021. Shae MacPherson will be moderating a discussion with two empowering female business owners from the small business sector: Theresa Stanley of Phoenix Taekwon-do Club (https://www.phoenixtaekwon-do.ca/)  and Bente Hallin, CEO of Accurate Network Services Inc. (https://www.accuratenetworks.ca/).

Join us as we learn about transformational leadership in the small business sector, and hear how these women are empowering their teams through authentic, inclusive leadership.

Your Speaker, Theresa Stanley

The dynamic Theresa Stanley is one of the senior coaches and marketing talent behind the Phoenix Taekwon-do Club, proudly training 800 athletes at 9 different locations within Edmonton. The holder of a 6th Degree black belt herself, Theresa is fiercely passionate about mentoring young girls early on in life and launched the innovative Girls on Fire Confidence Workshops and conference, her signature program dedicated to their empowerment.

 

Your Speaker, Bente Hallin

Bente Hallin is the co-owner and CEO at Accurate Network Services Inc., a managed IT services provider with offices in Edmonton and Calgary. Bente started her small business journey as an administrative assistant, and with hard work and the help of some incredible mentors, she built a path to leadership in the small business sector. She gets joy in building ideas into reality and seeing her team thrive.

She is the President of BPW Edmonton and serves as a director for the Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta. Outside of work, Bente enjoys doing anything outdoors, home renovation projects supported by YouTube DIY videos, and hanging out with her Boston terrier, Lady McDuff.
