About BPW Edmonton

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Edmonton (“BPW Edmonton”) is a supportive network of professional women from diverse industries whose focus is to develop and support the leadership potential of women in Edmonton, and influence social change. Through education, awareness, advocacy and mentoring, we strive to improve the economic, employment, political and social conditions for all working women.

We invite you to join us to support women. Our BPW members are from all walks of life, with diverse professional and business backgrounds, various age groups, from basic to extensive work experiences, who work collectively to advance and improve the conditions of all working women. We wish to be all inclusive.

As a member of BPW Edmonton, you will have opportunities to:
-Establish a network of business contacts, comprised of women in the community who are experienced and knowledgeable in a broad range of occupations and interests;
-Enhance your communication, organizational, management, and leadership skills;
-Serve in a wide range of leadership capacities;
-Work with others in the development of leadership skills that value and respect a healthy diversity of ideas;
-Participate in skill development programs on mentoring, time management, public speaking, meeting management, business etiquette and harassment issues;
-Shape and influence the world around us through resolutions, letters and briefs to governments at all levels and the United Nations.

BPW Edmonton became one of the 7 Charter Members of the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women’s clubs established in 1930.
